On the morning of August 6, 1945 the Enola Gay dropped the first atom bomb over the Japanese city of Hiroshima. Approximately 80,000 people were killed instantly from the blast while tens of thousands suffered from nuclear fallout.
U.S. President Harry S. Truman ordered the attack to avoid a huge loss for the United States. He wanted WWII done and over with. Dropping the atomic bomb was his solution.
Some people believe that there were other reasonable alternatives rather than this overwhelming method. President Obama is one of them.
His spokesman told reporters that, “The president would like to see the world rid of nuclear weapons.”
President Obama wants to visit Hiroshima in order to apologize on the behalf of Americans for dropping “Little Boy” back in 1945
The American people have been watching the pathetic pilgrimage Obama began when he first became president, leaving them outraged and embarrassed. Some people aptly name this pilgrimage his, “apology tour.”
We have seen his head bowed and eyes to the floor when standing in front of long standing enemies of the US. We have cringed when he bowed to the men who currently want to see this country fall. We have watched a coward honor tyrannical Socialists and Communists without showing any acknowledgement he is failing at representing a Constitutional Republic
Though Japan is a wonderful country full of good and decent people, the country’s leaders attacked us first. There was no compromise nor surrender. As much as Obama is willing to lay down and cater to the demands of our enemies, the heroes of the past did what needed to be done and they got it done fast.
Nobody rejoices in war. But people will rejoice in victory because they are alive.
President Truman, unlike our current POTUS, faced his enemies head on to ensure his people would be victorious.
That is why the U.S. ended a freaking world war.
Do you believe our leader should continue his apology tour? Should he apologize to our enemies of the past and present?
