When a group of good Samaritans saw a man viciously beating an Oklahoma woman in a parking lot, they intervened and stopped the atrocity from becoming a murder scene. And while this took all the guts they had, what they did ended up being called heroic, as millions of people tuned in to watch the abuse all caught on video tape.
The entire heroic intervention was captured by a bystander and shows a group of men approaching Douglas Beckham, 52, after he violently batters a woman in broad daylight with a flashlight.

After the men hear the abused woman sitting in Beckham’s pickup truck bed scream, “Call the cops,” they spring into action.
As the men approach the agitated Beckham, he threatens them and urges them to turn a blind eye.
- “Stay out of it guys!” he shouted. “Stay out of it!”
- “What are you going to do?” one of the individuals shouts back.
- “Stay out of it!” Beckham shouted again.
- “What are you going to do?” the bystander pressed.
- “Stay the f*** out of it!” the man replied.
- “What the f*** are you going to do b****?” the bystander countered. “Huh?!”
That’s when the man tells another person to call 911. And Beckham tries to start his truck and run away with the injured woman still in the open truck bed. He just doesn’t care about the woman he vowed to be a good husband to.
But the good Samaritans chased the abuser down, opened his door, and physically confronted the coward [All caught on video].
Eventually, the man drove his truck into the group. One of the bystanders jumps onto the truck bed and smashes the back window. That’s when Beckham hightails it out of there.
Beckham was arrested later that day on two counts of assault with a deadly weapon and one count of domestic battery with a dangerous weapon. The first two charges happened when cops saw video of how he drove his car at the good Samaritans.
Beckham was a former deputy and has a violent past that he wished would never have been brought to the surface…
“When I first saw the video…I did not know the video was connected to Oklahoma or Oklahoma City,” Capt. Paco Balderrama, with Oklahoma City Police, told KFOR. “I was very surprised, it`s very alarming, it`s a very sad video.”
“They were actually passing through on their way to El Paso, Texas,” Balderrama explained. “I mean luckily they were there.”
This instance was at least the second time Beckham has been accused of domestic violence. He seems to have a problem keeping his hands to himself. It’s no wonder he lost his job as a deputy.
In the video, you’ll see the former Sheriff’s Deputy hitting his wife with a flashlight.
Do you think this man should be locked up? How long would you throw him behind bars with the criminals he spent his career locking up?
