This Ketapang, Indonesia preschool is like no other, and is definitely the cutest. The International Animal Rescue team has established an orangutan “pre-school” that were endangered in the wild!
#2 Life Lessons
The school teaches the cute animals basic skills that they should have learned from their parents in the wild.
#3 7 Years With Mom
“Normally, an orangutan would remain with its mother for as long as 7 to 8 years of their lives, and this is the process when the orangutans have the chance to learn from their mothers how to survive in the wild,” says Program Director of the International Animal Rescue. Karmele Llano Sanchez.
#4 All Grown Up
The animals are looked after for years at the school, being taught how to be responsible orangutans.
#5 Up To Us All
The organization hopes to one day return the animals to the wild, but says poaching and destruction of their habitats could prevent it. “We have to do something about this now,” says Karmele.
