It seems Taylor Swift is lying about not giving Kanye West permission to use the certain lyrics in his new single, Famous.
Wife Kim Kardashian stepped in to stick up for her husband, with a recorded phone call between West and Swift, where the blond pop start DID give permission to use the line “To all my southside n****s that know me best, I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex.”
West … “I think this is a really cool thing to have.”
Swift … “I know, it’s like a compliment, kind of. Yeah, I mean, what’s dope about the line is it’s very tongue in cheek either way. And I really appreciate you telling me about it, that’s really nice.”
West … “had a responsibility to you as a friend.”
Swift … “Thanks for being so cool about it.” “For you to ask me if I’d be okay with it, I really appreciate it. “I’d never expect you to tell me about a line in your song.”
Kanye then told Swift “Relationships are more important than punchlines, you know.”
Swift then denied giving permission once the song came out … “Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his “Famous” the statement read. “She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, “I made that bitch famous.”
