support[s] a human life amendment to the Constitution and endorse legislation to make clear that the Fourteenth Amendment’s protections apply to unborn children, and is broadly opposed to abortion in all its forms, making absolutely no allowances for incest, rape, or the life or health of the mother.” [READ MORE HERE]
It is actually very clear with no room for ‘except this or that’. The GOP has and will always be absolutely pro-life with zero exceptions.
One day, Trump strategically, decided to put an ‘R’ behind his name and run as president on the Republican platform. Since his announcement of running, he has continually said that he is now a republican and other times he is now a conservative and stands for republican/conservative values. It is important to note that he has never stood on republican values nor fought for republican issues. This charade is all starting to fall apart as he slowly removes his Republican costume. The real Trump is making its way out of the storage closet.
I would say most voting Republicans are 100% pro-life. However, Trump has wavered from one extreme to the other on this issue. He has never had a solid stance on the issue of abortion. He seems that whomever he is talking to, his stance changes for that audience. He has been pro-partial birth to against abortion and anything in between. His latest stance has changed again. If anything, it is very safe to say, Trump has never been pro-life.
: Would you want to change the Republican platform so that exceptions would be made on abortions in the case of rape, incest or to save the life of the mother?
A: “Absolutely, for the three exceptions, I would,” he said. Trump was then pressed further and asked if he would make an exception to protect the “health” of the mother. “I would leave it for the life of the mother, but I would absolutely have the three exceptions.”
He now wants to CHANGE the Republican platform, as if he is God, and support abortions under certain situations. This is NOT a pro-life stance at all.
You can watch in his own words below
If you are a conservative or republican, I am pretty sure your stance on abortion has remained pretty firm: abortion is murder and it is wrong. Abortion has been one of the hottest topics for many years. Republicans have fought many years to ensure that unborn babies have a right to live. However, many of you are considering voting for this man. Does this change anything? Have your values been compromised for the sake of an entertainer? Supporters, are you now okay that Trump wants to change the GOP platform to allow some abortions?
This is seriously something to think about and I hope everyone will consider values, morals, principal and what you have always stood for, when you decide who to vote for. The president is needed for much more than claiming to build a wall, run a business and make America Great.
